this is my 510 at its frist and last show, fried the motor racing two hondas and rod jacksons's bluebird coupe from orange county all the way to LAX, one wild ride! in the process I did a John force to #2 piston, damned 40mm makunis! later on the car go T-boned by a street racing Teenager almost killing me.

Ron Murray's 1971 Datsun 510 just after being finished, this is in Marina Del rey California on the way home from work. you can just see the polished R200 dif cover poking out under the car, the hanging fuel line was there for effect and worked, that fuel line caused more people to ask questions that anything!

this is my Z car I build back in the 80's this is Xmas day 1988 in south central Los Angeles, I drove this car all the way to Arkansas the next year and back, sold it in 1992 to a young guy i worked with at a Toyota dealer. the car was stock with an auto trans. super clean, where is it today?

This is my first 510, I bought it from Ervin for $200.00 if I remember it had a automatic B-W two speed trans and an L16. I redid the motor and the thing would blow a head gasket at the drop of a hat! had to drive around with a head gasket and in the trunk! got good at replacing the head gasket, could do it in about 45min.....replaced the head with a SSS and a pair of SU's and a R180 with 3:36 gears, 2 1/2 exhaust and turbo muffler, and the thing would fly. didn't know about sway bars or shocks yet so, it was a dog at the track, got the flairs from TMC and the wheels from a local 510 that crash and burned. this is at terminal island on the police train track, talk about fun! her I am letting it all hang out! the writing on the wink mirror says"Canyon Concepts" on of my first business selling 510 parts, not that I sold alot lol!!! is that the Stig? Here I am in 1985,a change of direction for sure, this is the day after I drove the truck from the dealer, on the ground with 8 1/2 wheels that know one else had, talk about fun! a younger and slimmer Ron, this is in Lemirt park.

This in about 1980 in the back yard on Arlington ave, I just bought this car from the Late Jack Stalworth,(miss you Jack) $400 dollars I think but a bargin at any price! I just lowerd the front end and removed the bumpers, the california look. later the car would get a set of Gold 8 spoke wheel and dual S&S exhaust system and a pair of 40weber Dcn on Gene Berg type3 short manifolds and killer (for the time) sound system! later I would do marthon 48hour engine rebuild to drive to work on monday,to be young. I would sell this car to build the 510,Mike Green took this picture
